I think what’s going on with Ukraine makes a lot more sense if you look at it as a signal rather than a political event in itself.
Trump and his allies have a long term goal in mind: war with China. I think the want this for two reasons:
- To solidify their position of powder using war as an excuse to abolish things like term limits
- Because it makes them feel like big cool men with real jobs
By allowing Russia to keep ground gained through military aggression in Ukraine it signals to China that they might be able to take some or all of Taiwan and receive international recognition for it.
This in combination with pulling back public support for Taiwan (which they’ve already started doing by putting tariffs on Taiwanese silicone) would send a tacit message to China that they are being allowed to invade Taiwan.
The US could then reverse their position and commit to public support for Taiwan and use the invasion as just cause for declaring war on China. Martial law could then be declared and democratic norms further eroded in service of their fascist agenda.

- you must be over 14 years old to join. coral castle's servers are hosted in chile, and under article 19,628 of the laws of chile, we are unauthorized to collect data from people under 14.

- nsfw/nsfl content must be marked as sensitive. coral castle is built to be used as a casual instance, and as such should be accessible anywhere.

- keep things legal. this includes pirated content, since we want to keep a good relationship across fediverse servers. posting CSAM is strictly forbidden and will result in legal action.
moderation policies
the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
