I don't get why people care that much about south-up maps, tbh. Like it's supposed to be this big evocative thing and yet, like, it's the same? If you think being on the top of the map makes a country more important that's a you problem, don't blame it on the map.

(I *do* think that most maps fuck over the southern hemisphere but that's because they make it look physically smaller, not because they should be rotated 180°)

One side of the world has to be on top either way! Changing which one it is doesn't do anything!

Just use a projection that maintains accurate sizes and you're good to go.

@AppleAmps oh maybe its just my autism? flipping the shapes makes them loose meaning. like it’s just harder to find things. at least just when you first look at it
