I get what the term "Socialism with Chinese Characteristics" means but it's also really funny conceptually. Capitalism with Bolivian characteristics, Monarchism with French characteristics, there's something here.

@shroomie @AppleAmps as far as i know every attempt at real communism has been fiercely destroyed within 1-2 years of it coming about in any given country. i think there was a post soviet state that had a glorious 1.5 years of communism before they were killed and made subservient

@AppleAmps @FawnOverFun true communism has never been achieved because either the necessary revolutions and government got co-opted by the corrupt, capitalists saw what was going on and decided to squish them, or maybe also because it’s kinda hard to form a modern government around the words of men who died before the first world war
