I just found a collection of photos taken to document growing unrest in Algeria. I love them because despite being shot in Algeria, they are very reminiscent of the cities I grew up in. My parents were missionaries when I was a kid, and for most of my youth I was dragged along to various cities in Turkey with them. And just about everything in these images, from the environments to the cultural stuff, is *exactly* my memories of Turkey. (esp. the violent soccer players)

For people who are like me and want these as wallpapers, but the website won't let you download the images:

You can inspect element on any of the images, copy the background url, and paste just after worldpressphoto.org to go to the location the site keeps the photos in, allowing you to save the image to your computer.
