Classics such as “Fuck you, this copper sucks.” (Ea Nasir), “I should get more new clothes, my dad’s employee gets new clothes twice a month and it’s embarrassing.”, and of course “The sesame harvest will die — let nobody say I did not warn you!”, which is absolutely a set up for “Per my last clay tablet.”.
Social media & email may be part of the problem. But if we’re still like this when we have to carve our petty bullshit into clay then it’s clear that we’re the problem. It’s us.

Ok so I only just got any context from what actually caused this defed. Apparently the guy who went MENTAL last night while I was asleep was reported by a single user from our instance for being a nut and then he made a half hour long video about racism on fedi and he claims in the video that there are 19 instances harrassing him and he doesn’t know if they’re all eris or what?? So the .art defed comes from the list of instances this guy posted saying our instance “harassed” him because a single user made a single report against him which I didn’t even take action on until like an hour ago which is after the defederation happened. All that happened here is that somebody forwarded a report on this one guy, and that’s enough for everybody to get sinkholed instantly and irrevocably and the whole instance written off as racist lol. What a load of mad old shit this all is.

moderation policies
the sanctions for local users will be relative to the gravity of their infringements, varying from simply deleting the offending material, to warning the user through a three-strike system, to immediately banning the offending user.
