I'm 18 but still, don't be gross in my mentions.
My avatar is a pixel art bush with legs, tired eyes, and a rose on their head.
My banner is three girls from the anime Lucky Star talking.
Proud humanist.
All my posts have alt-text but some of my boosts don't, sorry!

The Oracle of Delphi's lost all her passion, her love for the craft. Really, one could say she's just doing it for the *prophet motive*.

I really like Jackalopes. Like, they're such a wonderfully low stakes cryptid(/mythical animal if you wanna be pedantic)

If we found irrefutable evidence of near-human hominids like bigfoot or the yeti, still-living dinosaurs like the Loch Ness Monster, or y'know, aliens, our understanding of biology and anthropology would probably change forever. Jackalopes are also a popular and respected folk tale despite having absolutely no greater significance. If we discovered real jackalopes that wouldn't really affect anything, but it would still be *cool*.

Like, I love that *type* of tall tale animal because they show that something can be weird and cool and magical without having to be earth-shattering, and it shows that, hey, if jackalopes and fur-bearing trout are so neat, then real stuff like rhinos and snakes and anglerfish must be neat too.

I'd give a more incisive, analytical comment than "it's good and made me feel like my feelings about identity and dysphoria and pain were being pried apart, dissected, and put back together again" but honestly the text does a better job at spelling out its own themes than I ever could.

Just finished reading Helicopter Story by Isabel Fall. Cried like a little baby at, uh, all of it. It's 23 pages and also free, I'd really recommend it.

Never shared these on here but uh, these are my top 15 Pokémon! First is Rowlet and then it goes left to right through each row. As you can probably tell I absolutely adore round little guys and also Zoroark.

Back when the Just Stop Oil bullshit was happening I had an exchange with someone where they said like "well at least the JSO people are doing *something*, not like that shitlib Greta Thunberg", and I kinda let it go back then because y'know, who cares, but now that Greta's internationally beloved as a leftist hero that endured IDF torture while JSO had the lasting cultural impact of a wet fart I wanna say that I was right, ja ja, get owned.

The most fucked up part about the myth of Orpheus is that I know for a 100% absolute fact I'd have looked back too. Like, it's my lover, and I've just found them again after they literally died, how am I supposed to *not* look at them?

Sometimes my brain will spit out like, the opposite of a typical abandonment issues intrusive thought. Like, I'll be talking to my partner and I'll suddenly think "hm, I guess they're only talking to me because they enjoy my presence and want to be around me, they'll probably wanna keep on doing this for the forseeable future" and it's like... ok??? Thanks I guess???? Unexpected that you'd be so nice to me but like, keep on keeping on, random intrusive thoughts.

Thanks for this insight! Given how the votes are panning out I think most people are probably thinking the same thing.
When the poll's done I'm prolly gonna do a list explaining each one's actual ideological bent but it's been cool to see people's reasoning in the meantime.

Peronism has had *moments* that could be described as democratic socialism, (or I think more accurately, revolutionary social democracy) but it's also had like, a looooot of moments in which it wasn't that. Axel Kicillof, current frontrunner for being the Peronist candidate in the 2027 presidential elections, is a Keynes autist that is both deeply, personally committed to those original socdem-demsoc Peronist values while being a fresh face for a Peronism that is kind of struggling to get a new political identity after the last wave, the new-left big tent Kirchnerism, crashed and burned in 2023.
