I'm 19 but still, don't be gross in my mentions.
My avatar is a pixel art bush with legs, tired eyes, and a rose on their head.
My banner is three girls from the anime Lucky Star talking.
Proud humanist.
All my posts have alt-text but some of my boosts don't, sorry!

Is this just me? I feel like if you were a foreign consciousness and saw a human being reading a book you'd be really confused. These are just the same 20-something symbols repeated over and over again. Why aren't you out hunting or something?

Knives are also strange but we don't gotta get into that right now.

I think if I were an observer looking into humanity from beyond the three things that would surprise me the most are books and drawings.
Humans are a species of chimpanzee that spend hours, unmoving, looking at still pages containing repeating series of glyphs. This can make them cry. They also spend cumulative hundreds of hours creating and staring at crude approximations of their form rendered in 2D, for no real reason. This can *also* make them cry.

@itchydog
That was the beginning of the end for them, I feel. Too many sides.

Social media loves awarding you with three-dimensional geometric solids. I still remember when Reddit introduced Cones.

I gotta get back into playing obscure itch.io bitsy/twine games made by trans women. Maybe I should find someone to book club this stuff with.

Some day I'll make a bitsy/twine game about this. Mark my words.

The greatest tragedy of the human experience is the fact that no one person can experience everything and everybody. I want to play every game and watch every show and make all art and meet all people. Forever.

@AppleAmps and then only like five devs at every Art Game Studio actually care and the rest were just laid off from what they actually wanted to work on

Does COPE have plans to expand past the Vancouver area? Pretty sure they're purely municipal.

Convinced sex and death at camp miasma will go down as the moment Schroenbrun's career really began in the retrospectives written about her in 20 years time. It'll be her personal The Lodger moment, get down to the cinema and watch it now oomfs

Shoutouts to Porpentine, Talia Mair, ZA/UM, the UFO50 devs, and a couple dozen others, btw.

Maybe like 1% of people who say they enjoy games actually engage with them as thematically meaningful art. What's worse is that only 1% of game developers actually *make* thematically meaningful art.

The Castlevania show's real accomplishment is having all the men be as attractive as the women. Maybe even more, Trevor Belmont could fold me in half.
