I don't have a bucket list but if I did "play a game of chess against a grand master" would definitely be on it. I would lose, mind you, but I do wish I could see that kind of skill and dedication up close as it wipes the floor with me.

My hot take is that retro or vintage media should be judged first and foremost by modern standards. Of course you're gonna think modern games are 7/10 if the standards you use to judge retro games are "is it better than the Reagan administration"

The red button blue button hypothetical is the stupidest shit ever, dude. There's a button that kills you and a button that doesn't, if you press the former there's a chance it misfires depending on how other people picked. You are a bad person for picking the latter, for some reason.

Keir Starmer might genuinely be the worst politician alive right now. He's not, like, the "most fascist" but he's certainly the worst at *doing* politics. A thumping majority in parliament, number one in the polls, a party fully consolidated behind him, and for what? He's done nothing with all that other than ruin Labour's chances and sign contracts with Palantir. The fact he survived the Mandelson affair shows he has good political instincts but he's used them exclusively to do, say, and *believe* nothing.
All I'm saying is that if you put Sir Clement Attlee in his place he would've had the country tip-top within months, what a shame.

I've unironically become radicalized against f2p games. No game should be released as free to play unless it's explicitly non-commercial, all forms of monetization aside from paying upfront are predatory and degrade the art-form.
