JJK is really interesting to me because there's never been such a stark gap between how interested I am in the main characters vs the side characters in anything else I've seen.
Like, frankly I don't really care about Yuji or Megumi, for the first two seasons they're both extremely one note, but characters like Okkotsu, Maki, even Panda are soooo interesting and have so much going on I kind of wish the show was about them.

Something that I adore about JJK is that it fully establishes that all sorcerers, categorically, are deeply insane. They all dress and act in completely absurd ways because willingly signing up to be a sorcerer is something no well-adjusted person would do. And as you move up the ladder and hit Grade 1s that's intensified, Todo, Mei, Itadori and ESPECIALLY Gojo are all deeply weird people but the powers that be can't really help it because they're also the last lines of defense.

Nobara's death sucks mega dick, dude.
Nanami gets got after fighting three special grades and wiping out an entire floor of transfigured humans with half his body burnt to a crisp, AND gets to die in a thematically resonant way that finishes his arc. Meanwhile the only girl in our main trio dies because she stands still and lets Mahito touch her even though she knows that Mahito kills by touching you, it's ridiculous. Only made worse by the fact that her death is exclusively used to further Itadori's story instead of closing up her's, just genuinely misogynistic writing on display.
