anyone looking for a christmas project? here's an idea...
once https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/merge_requests/5920 is merged it won't be necessary have a fat32 boot partition for #postmarketOS anymore, just a root partition.
this means that for a buuuunch of Android devices it would be super easy to install postmarketOS from a rooted Android install (e.g. lineageOS) just by
cp -a
'ing the whole thing to userdataThen you can just run (from your rooted Android phone)
curl switch.pmos.org | sh

The new adaptive testing feature has motivated me to finally fix Keypunch's mobile layout! The configuration dropdowns are now moved down to the text view itself on narrow screen sizes. It was pretty easy to accomplish with the new multi-layout widgetry. It's amazing how far we've come with regards to adaptivity.
Blogged about that thing I posted about last week since it landed: https://blogs.gnome.org/alicem/2024/12/19/mobile-testing-in-libadwaita/
A Windows installer is now also available

I did a thing (I got tired of endlessly resizing the window in very precise ways to test moble screen sizes)
reminder that the librem 5 is more complicated and more expensive to meet the FSF Respect Your Freedom certification. What do you get for this? Some firmware is stored on a flashROM rather than internal storage, making it HARDER to reverse engineer and replace
