@fluttergirly @BisTheFairy are you enjoying pulseman? i gave it a try myself recently, like a few days or weeks ago, and kinda hated it
@monorail i do think that there is a certain point where a video game can’t support accessibility without becoming a different video game. something like celeste can manage this due to the fact that it is a single player experience, any sense of lost valor through slowing the game down 33% for your personal playthrough because you can’t play otherwise is fake and anyone trying to assert its reality should be discredited. but fighting games are at their core designed as a competitive multiplayer experience, and so a concession for one person applies to all people. i think that this “accessibility concession trap” applies to all media, and that there will never be a clean answer for any of it, unfortunately.
@mynotaurus @pebble no lol. also! idk if this is clear but i don’t think the piece is flawed, i am not trying to argue that it is flawed, i just like taking frivolous joke claims too seriously because it continues to be funny to argue about if the yinglet is floating. from what i see, the only point of contact is a tangential touch slightly underneath your shoulders. hypothetically you could slide further down pebble’s arms until, approximately, your elbows are resting on its. i can try my best to get some sort of 3d representation of how i am perceiving the piece together if you wish. no guarantees it won’t be in minecraft
@pebble @mynotaurus okay well sorry i should’ve been a bit clearer, not only are her arms outstretched, but your hoof-arms are wrapped around her. there is no real grip happening. either myno is gonna have to adjust to something more akin to a t-pose, or you’ll need to grow big fuckin thumbs. hoof thumbs. humbs.
@pebble @mynotaurus well yeah but her arms seem outstretched like a zombie or t-rex
@pebble @mynotaurus how are you holding her up like that
@AppleAmps Muhammad ali said a lot of stuff.
favourite part of the when we were kings documentary is the bit where they show george foreman being asked a question about his view of the world and he goes "hmmm...", stays silent for about 40 seconds and very thoughtfully responds, then it cuts to Muhammad Ali going "what do i think of Foreman? I dont like him, I dont like his face, i dont like his voice, he talks too much, he talks way too much, when he gets into the ring I'll stop him talking" while airpunching in front of the reporters
@sterophonick hell yeah. mame is retroarch for people who are cool
@sterophonick okay okay thanks. tbh i never really knew what MESS was
@sterophonick i don’t really know what you’re talking about here. do you mean CDE like Common Desktop Environment? what was Common Desktop Environment like? what is Motif? why would you be using an arcade emulator to emulate a dead operating system? why are you using that dead operating system to design a shirt?
@ellie the anxiety monster in me is scared that this is about me even though i don’t think i’ve ever been properly cancelled, at least not on fedi and at least not for something the people who believed it haven’t said was just lies in retrospect
if i knew enough language and ergonomics to make keyboard layouts i would absolutely make dvorak 2. i love dvorak, i love its philosophies, i love how punctuation is placed (mostly), but english has changed in the near-century it’s been around.
also, if i knew enough about IDEs and text editors, i would make “Vivorak” which is just vi(m)-inspired keybindings for dvorak 2 users. also also, ideally if something like doom emacs were to be made with it, it would be called “tyrant” after @apophis mythologies :3
@Willowbriar @NoApollonia you look like a mom /compliment
