So. We gots a big number. Let's look at it.

How much is 10GW? Well the UK has a typical day time electricity consumption of ~40GW. Meaning that this one single data centre is looking to use the same amount of electricity as a quarter of the UK. In a single installation. A quarter of the electricity of the 6th largest economy in the world. A single data centre.

Or put another way. It needs power from 3x sizewell C nuclear plant.

I try to think of things to say on the fediverse, but my brain is just like, "Smash the corporations into pieces! Stock buybacks should be illegal (FRAUD)! Seize the wealth of billionaires and give it to the people they stole it from!"

if I'm an absolute beginner with low level computer graphics, should I use opengl or vulkan?

I would use vulkan right away if it wasn't BC a triangle is like 10x harder to do in vulkan than opengl

I also holding on using opengl cuz everyone seems to have a grudge against it

Been a while since I posted about my harmonica work.

Been working on a 12-hole Hohner Marine band as of late, rather infamous diatonic harmonica in that it was frequently used by Sonny Boy Williamson II (in the key of G, and it went under the name "Echo Vamper" back then).

It came in an almost perfect condition, but it was kept in a Polypropylene plastic case for years. Its like THE plastic where when it goes bad, not only is the smell something aweful, but the aromatic compouds also will leech onto just about anything.

It's however fixable, assuming you got the patience for soaking it in alcohol for days and stripping the paint fully. And since I'm already opening the harp up, I might as well mod it to my liking
