Perdido Street Station is ass in a really frustrating way. Mieville has an incredible eye for worldbuilding and his prose is incredible, but nothing fuuuuucking happens. North of 750 pages and literally nothing of substance changes from beginning to end, why even have a story if it might as well have not ocurred?

Genuinely Mario Galaxy 2 would be the perfect videogame if you made the worldmap 5% better, added some stuff to Starship Mario, and made the final Bowser fight good instead of bad.
