Since the star collection and post-star collection cutscenes in Super Mario Galaxy 2 have an average length of 30 seconds and a full playthrough collects 240 stars, the player spends at least 2 hours per playthrough simply watching Mario collect stars.

@apophis i’ve always had a few gripes with the automap tbh. like being able to see locked door colors is apparently a “cheat” and how the default arrow shape is just a line and seems baked into the engine meaning that on low resolutions you can’t see it unless you’re zoomed right up into it and you can’t easily make a wad to change it

@AppleAmps oh maybe its just my autism? flipping the shapes makes them loose meaning. like it’s just harder to find things. at least just when you first look at it
